It all began in THE L.A.B. - while I was retailing as a sole proprietor, fashion vendor, at music festivals. I was reconstructing and upcycling vintage fashion and tie-dying graphic tee shirts. I would save every scrap of fabric left over and started to create braided head bands and wrap bracelets.
With each show and market, the grassroots accessory naturally kept evolving. First I called it “The Wrap-Around.” More ideas of how to wear it came about, so I created a guide with original sketches of ideas of how to wear it.
Next, boutiques wanted to purchase in bulk and I thought, “well I’m going to need help braiding at this rate,” so I knocked on the doors of local domestic abuse shelters to see if anyone could use a little work and sure enough, they did! So, The REVIVAL-WRAP was born - celebrating a come-back movement of women getting back on their feet. NOW, I had a product with purpose.
After a few years of trial and error on the market across the U.S., I decided to take a sabbatical. Back to THE L.A.B. again.
In the Fall of 2024, I decided to revive at a couple of local pop-up markets in LaGrange, GA.
It’s Spring 2025! Welcome to the debut of REVIVALWRAPS.COM
I am expanding the efforts: in addition to women of domestic abuse shelters, I am opening the braided craft to other under-served Americans in transitional circumstances.
